Aaron Roberts
Maryville
A Knoxville native, Dr. Roberts is deeply linked to the East Tennessee community. He earned his bachelor’s degree in microbiology at the University of Tennessee, graduating summa cum laude. He went on to Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and was valedictorian of his graduating class. He completed his internship and orthopedic residency at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia, where he was awarded the most outstanding resident upon graduation.
Following residency, he was stationed at Fort Stewart in Hinesville, Georgia, and served as the chief of orthopedics at Winn Army Community Hospital. He was deployed twice during his time there, serving with the 555th Forward Surgical Team (FST) in Afghanistan, as well as the 541st (FST) in Syria. Dr. Roberts also was the physician for the 75th Ranger Regiment. He served nine years with the Army, leaving the military with the rank of major, and then completed a shoulder and elbow surgery fellowship in Cincinnati before joining OrthoTennessee Maryville.

Serving as a general orthopedic surgeon in the military prior to his fellowship allowed Dr. Roberts to gain valuable experience in treating a variety of complex orthopedic conditions, and he has published scientific research on a number of topics.
Dr. Roberts spends his free time with his wife, Marianne, and his sons, Carter and Anderson. He is a huge Tennessee Vols fan, and in his leisure time he enjoys travel, golf and boating.
