Dr. William Nicholas “Nick” Yetter gets great satisfaction from helping patients become more functional and feel better. He specializes in conditions of the hand, wrist and upper extremities. He treats a range of conditions, including carpal tunnel; cubital tunnel/ulnar nerve entrapment; trigger finger; triangular fibrocartilage complex tear (TFCC) injuries; upper extremity fractures; and tennis elbow.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee and Doctor of Medicine from University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He completed both a general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, and upper extremity and hand fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital.

Dr. Yetter has contributed to several published and ongoing research articles and academic presentations, and his volunteer service includes providing medical care at Clinica Esperanza in Memphis, Tennessee.

Dr. Yetter desired to become a doctor from an early age, inspired by his mother who is a nurse and father who is a physician. He chose to pursue orthopaedic surgery after shadowing an orthopaedic surgeon. He and his wife, Sarah, are both East Tennessee natives and excited to be back in their home state along with their young son. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, fishing and carpentry.
