Dr. Kyle T. Boden enjoys the challenge of identifying the treatment approach that allows patients at all phases of life to return to the activities they enjoy. Specializing in sports medicine, he emphasizes the importance of the patient’s individual goals and implements strategies that offer the best opportunity for a successful outcome.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Emory & Henry University, where he played on the football team as a starting quarterback. He earned a Doctor of Medicine from East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine.
A Knoxville native, Dr. Boden is honored to now serve his community at the same orthopaedic practice that cared for him as a competitive three-sport athlete in high school. He joined OrthoTennessee in 2024 and appreciates the opportunity to get to know and follow patients as they work to achieve their goals.
Dr. Boden has served in multiple sports medicine capacities, including as a fellow with the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Monsters, assistant team physician for the University of Kentucky football program and as team physician for Kentucky State University. He now volunteers as head team physician for Alcoa High School.
He and his wife, Alyson, a local nurse, enjoy participating in community outreach efforts through their church and work. Dr. Boden’s hobbies include fishing, golfing, hiking and exercising – especially strength training and running.
