Steven Gruver

Steven Gruver, DPT, is passionate about helping patients improve their function and build lifestyle changes that empower them to live healthier and more functional lives. He believes that every patient has impairments unique to them and aims to create an individualized plan to meet their specific goals.

Steven earned a bachelor’s degree from The University of Tennessee while also playing baseball for the university. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis. He is dry needling–certified through Structure & Function Education. Steven worked in outpatient physical therapy in Memphis, and then Columbus, Ohio, prior to joining the KOC team in 2026.

Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Steven pursued a career as a pitcher in professional baseball, playing in the Minnesota Twins minor league system. He continues to have a passion for baseball and working with baseball players and other throwing athletes.

Outside of the clinic, Steven enjoys spending his time with his wife and dog. He particularly enjoys exercising in the gym, walking his dog, cooking, and watching and rooting for all UT sports teams.
