Mathew “Matt” Harrington, PT, DPT, has a passion for helping others with physical limitations and seeing progression from injury to return to function.
Originally from Central Nebraska, Matt earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. The importance of sports medicine brought him to the University of Tennessee where he earned a master’s degree in sports management while providing care for UT athletes. He served as assistant athletic trainer with Middle Tennessee State University before earning a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University.
Matt joined OrthoTennessee in 2024 and is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT), who can treat from head to toe. He enjoys bridging the gap between sports medicine and physical therapy.
He enjoys kayaking, hiking, golf and CrossFit, but most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and two fur children.
