Lynne Johnson specializes in upper extremity rehabilitation and is passionate about teaching patients the rationale for therapeutic interventions and the benefits of therapeutic exercise for achieving personal goals.

She strives to help patients understand how to manage both acute and chronic conditions. Lynne enjoys problem solving and identifying issues that can interfere with patient progress. She gets great joy from patients who report less pain and improved function.

Lynne started her career in sports medicine after earning a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from the University of Tennessee. She earned a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Tennessee State University and is a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). Lynne has experience in outpatient orthopaedics with advanced training in the upper extremity, spine therapy, vestibular rehabilitation and sports medicine. She joined OrthoTennessee in 2013.

Lynne is a ceramic artist and enjoys making pottery for friends, family and regional art shows. She and her husband, William, have one adult son, Zachary, and a dog, Lucy. She enjoys hiking, yoga, Pilates, walking her dog, gardening and cooking.
