Katie Wood, DPT, loves the variety of conditions treated by OrthoTennessee experts and has a particular passion for concussion rehabilitation, lower extremity injuries, balance and fall prevention and running rehabilitation. She enjoys learning about each patient’s specific aspirations and solving the rehabilitation puzzle to reach those goals.

Before joining OrthoTennessee in 2016, she earned a bachelor’s degree from Maryville College, then earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Western Carolina University. There, she developed a particular interest in lower extremity injuries and completed her doctoral research study on balance and fall prevention for older adults. She has completed extensive continuing education courses on concussion rehabilitation and management and is an American Institute of Balance (AIB) certified clinician.

Outside of the clinic, Katie is an avid hiker, trail runner and equestrian. She loves spending time with her husband and two kids and considers any time spent outside a good day.
