Katie Pelger
Katie Pelger, OTR/L, CHT, is a compassionate occupational therapist and certified hand therapist who is committed to helping individuals recover from upper extremity injuries and conditions. She joined OrthoTennessee in 2019.
Katie specializes in treating a wide range of upper extremity injuries, with a particular focus on finger, hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder conditions. Her expertise includes custom splinting, electrical modalities, dry needling for the upper extremity and Graston Technique.
She is dedicated to establishing a strong connection with her patients, both on a professional and personal level. She is passionate about helping patients progress to their full potential and return to their normal activities, allowing them to regain control and independence in their lives.
Katie earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Carson-Newman University and a Master of Occupational Therapy from Emory & Henry School of Health Sciences. She continuously seeks to expand and share her expertise and knowledge, including presenting in splinting courses.
Beyond her clinical work, Katie enjoys a variety of activities. She is an avid traveler, fitness enthusiast who enjoys working out and cooking and has a deep love for sporting events and outdoor activities. Most importantly, she cherishes spending quality time with her family and friends.
She is married to Markus Pelger and they share their home with two very spoiled, very fat cats named Biscuit and Reptar.
