Jacob Watts
University
Jacob Watts, DPT, has a passion for helping patients return to their lives, reach goals previously thought to be impossible and gain independence through physical therapy. He helps patients through functional activities that are based on each individual patient’s goals and specializes in post-operative care of orthopaedic injuries.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). He is Dry Needling Level 1 certified by Integrative Dry Needling (IDN). He joined OrthoTennessee in 2022.
Jacob also is passionate about advancing the field of physical therapy by attending continuing education courses, mentoring physical therapy students in clinical fieldwork and working alongside undergraduate students who are applying to DPT programs.
He is active in his community and volunteers through his church’s youth group ministry. He enjoys hiking, running and playing recreational league sports and loves spending quality time with his wife and daughter.
