Brian Richardson
Brian Richardson, PT, has years of experience treating athletes from high school to professional levels and his interests include knee and shoulder rehabilitation, including ACL and rotator cuff rehabilitation and rehabilitation of an overhead athlete who participates in a sport that requires repetitive overhead motions.
Brian earned a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis, Tennessee, and a master’s degree in exercise science from Middle Tennessee State University.
He is a board-certified clinical specialist in sports physical therapy (previously Sports Certified Specialist or SCS) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He received additional training in Blood Flow Restriction (BFR), Graston Technique, selective functional movement assessment (SFMA) and dry needling.
He has performed research and coauthored multiple publications on ACL reconstruction rehabilitation, knee osteoarthritis rehabilitation and rotator cuff repair rehabilitation. He also has coauthored multiple chapters on rotator cuff rehabilitation for various textbooks.
