KOC Therapy – Turkey Creek and KOC Therapy – West to Merge in Newly Renovated Space

Starting in September of 2026, therapy patients from KOC Turkey Creek and KOC West will be treated to an upgraded physical and occupational therapy center, located at 256 Fort Sanders W. Blvd., Suite 200.
The new space is upstairs from Knoxville Orthopaedic Surgery Center (KOSC) and next door to the current home of KOC Therapy – West (260 Fort Sanders W. Blvd.).
The new 6,300-square-foot therapy suite adds modern upgrades, natural light and more room for specialized sports rehab. The modern intentional design focuses on enhanced patient experience. The clinic includes a larger, updated lobby and streamlined check-in process, with dedicated spaces for sports rehabilitation, hand therapy and treatment tables, plus cardio machines and weights.
“The new KOC Therapy West features a functional sports area with about 1,000 square feet of grass turf where athletes and other patients can rebuild strength and agility through movement as they recover from injuries and return to sports or daily activities,” said Russ Johnson, director of therapy at KOC. “The facility offers an enhanced experience for all patients, and its location above our outpatient surgery center makes therapy scheduling even more convenient for postsurgical patients.”

The dedicated spaces improve privacy, reduce noise control and create more opportunities for specialized rehabilitation, including room for running, jumping, pivoting and throwing.
The advanced therapy suite marks a milestone in an overall plan to improve patient experience and streamline access to care at KOC West. The next phase will turn administrative offices into more clinic space on the second floor of Building 6, followed by a new and expanded area dedicated to KOC Urgent Care with its own entrance and lobby on the first floor, where therapy used to be.
KOC West is one of five KOC clinics offering on-site physical and occupational therapy. Other locations include KOC Weisgarber, Powell, University and Oak Ridge.
KOC has been recognized as the best in physical therapy by the Knoxville News Sentinel’s Knox Stars Community Choice Awards for the last four consecutive years. Therapy professionals with the practice use a one-on-one patient model and are committed to restoring movement, strength and quality of life.
