KOC Maryville Jamboree to Highlight High School Football August 15

Knoxville Orthopaedic Clinic (KOC) will sponsor the annual KOC Maryville Jamboree, offering Blount County area football teams and fans an opportunity to preview the competition before the regular season begins. The orthopaedic provider has been part of the event for more than 35 years as a way to further its mission to support student-athletes, schools and the community.
“This is an opportunity to establish a strong foundation for a safe and successful season as we get ready for Friday night lights,” said Dr. Shane Asbury, orthopaedic surgeon at KOC Maryville. “We’re here to support these student-athletes, not just on game day, but throughout their athletic journey.”
The KOC Maryville Jamboree takes place Friday, Aug. 15, at Heritage High School with games and skill assessments beginning at 7 p.m. Participating high schools include Alcoa, Eagleton College & Career Academy, Greenback, Heritage, Maryville and William Blount.
The six local teams will face off, and there will also be a skills competition to determine the fastest running back, fastest lineman, longest throw, longest punt and deepest kickoff.
