Knoxville Orthopaedic Clinic celebrates opening of KOC Lakeway office
Knoxville Orthopaedic Clinic (KOC) officially cut the ribbon Oct. 18 on its new KOC Lakeway office at 381 Kuhn Lane in Morristown, part of the Merchants Greene development.
The Lakeway office offers scheduled appointments with a wide range of orthopaedic specialists, two X-ray suites and a walk-in injury clinic. The orthopaedic urgent care facility is the only clinic of its kind for the area, open to walk-ins Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“I’ve been treating patients in this region for 24 years, and I’m excited about expanding our care for the Lakeway community,” said Dr. Paul Becker, sports medicine surgeon at KOC Lakeway.
Six orthopaedic surgeons and multiple advanced practitioners will see patients at the practice with specialties that include general orthopaedics, pediatrics, hip and knee replacement, hand and wrist, foot and ankle, and sports medicine. A spine specialist will join the practice in the coming months.
“Our organization’s purpose is to improve lives through patient-centered care – every patient, every time,” said Pete Pearson, CEO of Knoxville Orthopaedic Clinic. “We are excited to see how expanding access to orthopaedic care in the Lakeway region improves the lives of individuals and families in the community.”
The larger, more centralized KOC office and walk-in injury clinic are located at bustling Merchants Greene amid popular restaurants, retail and the Morristown Landing sports complex.
It replaces the orthopaedic provider’s previous location in Jefferson City. However, the same physicians and care are available at Lakeway with the addition of more specialists and treatment options.
The new 12,533-square-foot facility was designed by Johnson Architecture. The full-service architecture firm, which is headquartered in Knoxville, also designed the KOC North location completed in Powell in 2021.
Johnson & Galyon Construction was the contractor for the clinic with Realty Trust Group serving as the developer.
KOC Lakeway officially began treating patients Oct. 14.
