Proposed Medicare Changes: Same-Day Care at Risk in 2027

Medicare has proposed a new payment policy that would penalize healthcare providers for performing medically necessary procedures (biopsies, injections, etc.) on the same day as an office visit. If implemented, this change could require patients to return for a separate appointment instead of receiving treatment during the same visit.
