MacKinzie Kane

The most rewarding aspect of being an orthopaedic trauma practitioner for MacKinzie is making a meaningful impact at a critical point in a patient’s care. She finds satisfaction in helping evaluate and stabilize acute injuries, collaborating closely with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams and supporting patients during vulnerable moments. Providing reassurance, clear communication and timely intervention to help set patients up for a successful recovery is a fulfilling challenge.
MacKinzie’s personal experiences in a sports-centered family and receiving high-quality orthopaedic care helped her pursue her goals, including competing as a collegiate athlete.
She earned a degree in physiology and medical sciences from University of Arizona College of Medicine, where she competed with the gymnastics team. She earned a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2025. MacKinzie is certified as a physician assistant (PA-C) by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is certified in advanced cardiovascular life support and basic life support. She joined KOC in 2026.
A Tucson, Arizona, native, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, walking her dogs, Ripley and Bourbon, collegiate sports, country concerts, line dancing and traveling.
