Dr. Heslin likes getting to know his patients and helping them function at their highest level so they can enjoy what makes them happy.
After earning his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Dr. Heslin worked as a medical scribe at KOC for two years before attending medical school.
He’s always been fascinated by the neuromuscular system, and after attending Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) in Blacksburg, Virginia, he went on to complete both a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) residency and a Pain Medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC).
Dr. Heslin is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) and board eligible in Pain Medicine by ABPMR and The American Board of Anesthesiology. He values mentoring medical trainees as they become attending physicians.
He and his wife, Kayla, love spending time with their two active young boys. In his free time, Dr. Heslin enjoys playing ice, roller and floor hockey, and rooting for his favorite teams: University of Tennessee athletics, Nashville Predators and Tennessee Titans.
