KOC Provider Talks with WATE About Winter Weather Injuries

As icy and frigid weather hit most of East Tennessee, providers with Knoxville Orthopaedic Clinic offered treatment for patients and tips to avoid weather-related injuries.

KOC physician assistant Kadie Orenstein treated patients at KOC Urgent Care-University and saw a variety of injuries, from patients slipping on ice around their homes, to those participating in winter sports like skiing or snowboarding.

Orenstein suggests using caution, especially since ice can be hard to see, and make sure you’re wearing appropriate shoes for the conditions.
