Andy Gilligan

Andy has enjoyed working in sports and outpatient therapy since graduating from Marquette Universitywith a bachelor’s degree in athletic training, as well as a doctorate in physical therapy in 2016. He is passionate about working with athletes and helping them return to the field and achieve their goals. He is dry needling certified and practices Stecco Fascial Manipulation as manual therapy tools to assist his patients.
He has worked in Major League Baseball in athletic training and physical therapy, including as rehab coordinator for the Miami Marlins. Since leaving professional baseball he has transitioned to outpatient therapy with a focus on athletic rehab for both young athletes and weekend warrior athletes looking to stay active. He has worked closely with athletic trainers, strength and conditioning coaches and position coaches to create training plans to guide athletes to their short-term goals with a sustainable plan for their future.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Andy moved to Knoxville in 2023 with his wife, son and two dogs from Phoenix, Arizona, and joined KOC in 2025. He enjoys running, hiking, camping, traveling, snow and water skiing, sporting clays and the outdoors
