Matthew “Matt” Davis, DPT, thoroughly enjoys helping individuals improve their physical abilities, performance and quality of life – whether following surgery; improving function and decreasing pain without surgery; or getting back to playing the sport they love. He specializes in total joint replacement rehabilitation, shoulder conditions and injuries and sports rehabilitation.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, master’s degree from the University of Memphis and Doctor of Physical Therapy from South College. Matt served as a graduate assistant at the University of Memphis, teaching exercise and sport science classes and worked with the tennis, soccer, golf, softball and baseball teams. He designed the preseason and in-season training programs for men’s tennis during the 2014-15 season.
He is certified to perform Graston Technique as well as in the McKenzie Method for lumbar and cervical spine assessments and treatment. He joined OrthoTennessee in 2020.
In his free time, Matt loves spending time with his wife and two young children. He also enjoys playing basketball, football, wakeboarding and hunting.
