Mary Kate Riden seeks to serve others and help them improve through health and fitness, making orthopaedics a great fit. She strives to help patients improve their pain and function to enhance quality of life and return to the activities they enjoy.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from East Tennessee State University and a Master of Medical Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies from Lincoln Memorial University, where she was a member of Pi Alpha honor society.

Mary Kate is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) and board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She is a member of Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery (PAOS) and American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA). She joined Knoxville Orthopaedic Clinic in 2023.

She is the director of missions for Christ Powered Ministries for orphanages in India, Pakistan and local ministries. Mary Kate also enjoys cycling, strength training, hiking, reading, traveling, snowboarding and cheering on the Vols, but especially loves time with her family, including her husband and two sons.
