Michelle Carr
West
Occupational Therapist Registered/Licensed (OTR/L) Michelle Carr specializes in hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder injuries and rehabilitation. She derives great satisfaction from helping people return to their passion as she encourages them through the rehabilitation process and guides them through healing.
Carr has been with OrthoTennessee since 2018. She’s a Graston Technique Specialist (GTS) and is certified by Physical Agent Modalities Practitioner Credentialing Agency (PAMPCA). She earned a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from Medical College of Georgia where she was the president of her occupational therapy class.
She was an American Occupational Therapy Association delegate in 1994 and is a recipient of the Nancy D. Prendergast award for most contribution to the profession by a student. She has presented on carpometacarpal (CMC) joint arthroplasty for the Tennessee Occupational Therapy Association (TNOTA).
An avid community volunteer, she has served on multiple mission trips and is a small group leader for high school students at her church. She volunteers in staging choreography with GO! Contemporary Dance Works and as a performance photographer for GO! Contemporary Dance Works and Appalachian Ballet Company.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren as well as teaching and taking ballet classes, yoga, working out and photography – her work has been featured in several Knoxville galleries.
