When to choose the +4 Injury Clinic.
Bone and joint-related injuries are the most common recreational injuries and one of the most common reasons people visit the ER. For these types of injuries, our after hours clinic may offer a shorter wait time and lower cost than a traditional ER visit. Our clinic is always staffed by highly trained orthopaedic specialists who diagnose and treat these types of injuries every day. We're here to help when you need us the most.
Our +4 Injury Clinic is a great option for these types of acute orthopaedic injuries:
- Breaks and fractures
- Strains, sprains, and minor dislocations
- Recent sports injuries
- Accidental falls
- Torn ligaments or tendons
- Any sudden joint injuries
- Stitches (except on head)
We can do x-rays and casts onsite. We do not, however, provide treatment for concussions, and we do not treat head or neck injuries. We will treat back issues only if they stem from a recent sports injury.
FOR ANY LIFE-THREATENING CONDITIONS, CALL 911 OR GO IMMEDIATELY TO A HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM.
Not all injuries are eligible for the +4 Injury Clinic, including auto accident injuries and severe trauma injuries. Patients with chronic orthopaedic conditions, post-surgical follow-up, medication refills and other on-going conditions should schedule an appointment during regular office hours. The +4 Injury Clinic does not treat general illnesses like sore throat, cough, flu, migraines, and infections. If you have a question about whether the clinic will treat your specific injury, feel free to call ahead during clinic hours.
Will my insurance cover my visit, and what will it cost?
We accept most major forms of insurance. To find out if your insurance is accepted and for co-pay information, please call us at: Dowell Springs Office - (865) 231-9500 or West Office - (865) 769-4529.
What if I need follow up care?
If follow-up care is required, we've got you covered. Our staff will coordinate an appointment with one of our orthopaedic providers prior to you leaving the +4 Injury Clinic.
