What patients say about Dr. ivy

  • I can say that I am well pleased with all my contact at KOC, starting at the check in to the waiting room (not long there) to the procedure room.
Everything seems well organized and professional. Dr. Ivy and the nurses and assistants were very helpful and informative. They explained all the procedures to me. Dr. Ivy told me my choices to fix my fingers and let me decide what way I wanted to go. It sounds horrible to stick a needle in the pad of your hand, but it really did not feel that bad. I could feel the medicine in the needle go up my finger to the tip and the finger really relaxed. We did this a few times and then I had to elect surgery and it went very well. He is a very kind and informative doctor. I trust him and his judgment.
    – Jim, Knoxville
  • Thanks to my care at KOC, I can now operate both hands. I love Dr. Ivy. He is the best. He operated on my left hand for trigger finger and right hand for carpal tunnel. The surgery went great. Thanks to his knowledge, I was never in pain. I am returning for a third time for something different. I trust him with my life! Thank you, Dr. Ivy.
    – Frances, Rockwood
  • My carpal tunnel surgery was a great success so I can once again use my right hand. I would recommend Dr ivy to anyone.
    – Carol, Knoxville
  • "I have had three different surgeries by Dr. Robert Ivy with fantastic care ...the last was right thumb CMC joint arthroplasty. I was so impressed with the level of compassion and care from Dr Ivy. He doesn't just see "the patient", but rather the "whole person" in distress. I never felt rushed, as he always took his time and listened carefully to all your concerns and fears. Dealing with him was like taking counsel with a dear friend on issues very important to you. When he performed my surgeries I had complete confidence in him for a great outcome and I certainly was not disappointed. If ever I have a problem again, it will be to him that I will go. I have referred Dr. Ivy to everyone that I know; consequently, two friends over the past year have gone to him and they, as well, have had marvelous results. I strongly recommend him for any problem that you might have with your hands or wrists.

I can again use my right hand without constant and unbearable pain. I no longer have to worry about dropping things and trying to exist without the use of that hand."
    – Barbara, LaFollette
  • "I have prayed and searched for a doctor for years that would be so kind and gracious to assist me in relieving the pain in my wrists that was operated on by another surgeon in 2007 and 2008. I couldn't do anything about it and it kept me up many, many nights. I searched for years for a doctor that was special in that way to take me in and be caring enough to do everything he could to relieve my symptoms. That is very important to me and makes Dr. Robert Ivy a true specialist. He knew what to do and didn't suggest any procedures that could hinder me further in the future. He commits to the care of his patients. I admire him for taking on my situation that other doctors would not touch within miles. He has helped me more than any other doctor that I have gone to.

Dr. Ivy has given me several options of care for my wrists that help decrease the pain when they hurt so bad that I feel like I can't take it anymore. The tens unit gives me relief on the worst of days and the patches work great when I have to mop the floors or do activities around the house. The injections of cortisone shots instantly took the pain away for days. Being his patient and what he did for my wrists, was the greatest I've felt since surgery.

Thank you, Dr. Ivy, for taking me in as your patient and helping me deal with this life changing experience. My life will never be the same, but knowing there are still people that care about people makes me very blessed. I'm blessed to have you for my doctor. I will certainly recommend you to all my friends and family members."
    – Sandra, Clinton
