Dr. Bruce Fry is a board certified physiatrist who specializes in interventional treatment of the spine. He grew up in Knoxville and began practice with Knoxville Orthopaedic Clinic in January 2002. He attended Farragut High School where he played football and ran track. Dr. Fry continues to remain active in sports and exercise and enjoys running, cycling, tennis, and weight training. He is an active member of the Church of Christ. He has four brothers, one of whom is a twin who practices optometry in Farragut. His father practiced radiology in Knoxville for several years and is now retired.
Dr. Fry is trained in non-operative musculoskeletal care and disorders of the nervous system and spine. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he served as chief resident. He completed his fellowship training in interventional pain management with Dr. James Beretta in Birmingham. He is also an osteopathic physician trained in manual medicine as well as traditional medicine. Dr. Fry offers specialized treatment skills learned in his fellowship that include fluoroscopic epidural steroid injections. He stays current on new technologies and offers electrodiagnostics, ultrasound-guided injections and EMG-guided injections performed in the office.
