What patients say about Dr. testerman

  • Thanks to my care at KOC, I can walk without foot pain. I had struggled with feet issues my whole life. I had surgery on one foot and will be scheduling to have the procedure done on the other foot soon. Looking forward to getting my life back. Not to mention having a “normal” looking foot is a plus.
    – Cathy, Oneida
  • Thanks to my care at KOC, I could continue working long hours on my feet all day. Dr. Testerman is my kind of doctor - hands on, direct and to the point, doesn't waste time. I really like her. She keeps treating and working with you until you get relief. Staff is also very nice.
    – Debbie, Maryville
  • Thanks to my care at KOC, I can resume hiking and all the outdoor sports that I love. I fell (mile 9) during a 10.6 mile hike in the GSMNP, fracturing my ankle. I needed to get back to work ASAP so Dr. Testerman discussed two options with me. I liked that she was to the point and also she came across very caring. The nurse Heather was also awesome and can't say enough about her. I have had casts before and let me tell you...the casting specialists at KOC are the BEST! Thanks Dr. Testerman for getting me back outdoors. I am 62 years old, a grandmother and registered nurse. I’m working on completing the 900 mile GSMNP trail map while still working full time.
    – Trish, Maryville
  • Thanks to my care at KOC, I can walk again after having two screws put in due to a fall on Christmas Eve. While on vacation in Rhode Island, I was putting a dish on a table and my ankle just twisted and broke and swelled immediately. We had to call the paramedics because I could not walk down stairs. I went to the hospital and spent pretty much all of Christmas Eve in the ER. A Christmas Eve to remember. The doctors told me I should call an orthopaedic surgeon for an appointment in Tennessee to have it fixed. I called KOC on the 26th of December, my birthday. We drove straight home on the 27th, saw Dr. Testerman on the 28th, and scheduled surgery on the 29th. Talk about service, KOC was amazing from start to finish. I also thank Our Lord for telling us to take our truck instead of my Mini. I would have never been able to elevate my leg in a boot and drive home in a Mini Cooper comfortably. Kudos to Dr. Testerman and her team. My ankle healed great with no infection or pain medicine.
    – Patricia, Seymour
  • My first visit with Dr. Testerman was in 2002, while living in Knoxville. Dr. Testerman had been treating me for bunion problems, which included a surgery. In 2005, my husband and I moved to Canton, GA. I started having problems on my other foot and went to a highly recommended local orthopedic. He had retired from preforming surgeries and then began teaching his profession at a University. When he retired from teaching he moved to a practice at a medical center in Canton. When he looked at the bunion on my foot, I mentioned that I had surgery in Knoxville on my other foot. He said, "Let me see that other foot!" He was so totally impressed with the work, and told me I should go back to whoever did my other foot. I told him Dr. Testerman was in Knoxville, TN. To my surprise his answer was, "What's the problem, why that's just up the road." Needless to say, I have been going up the road now for the last 13 years to see her and have had a total of three procedures and all have been successful.
    – Leslie, Canton, GA
  • I needed extensive foot surgery, so after interviewing four different doctors and interviewing Dr. Testerman again one year later, I decided she was the surgeon for me. She is kind, concerned & experienced. She and her staff understand how to address one's fears, as well as being courteous. Her work was precise, clean and so well cut that I knew as it healed the scarring would be minimal. As my office follow-up visits continue, Dr. Testerman remains caring and always a hands-on doctor. I did exactly as I was told and we are both delighted with my healing. I would highly recommend her and I know if you do as she says, you'll have as amazing results as I have.
    – JoAnn, Knoxville
  • "I can already walk better than I could for years, even though I am still under the care of Dr. Chris Testerman after extensive foot surgery two months ago. I let my condition go far too long before surgery, which complicated things a bit and full recovery may take longer. But things are going very well and I have been able to resume some of my normal activities. Activities will increase, I'm sure, at Dr. Testerman's direction.

Dr. Testerman is a very dedicated and highly skilled surgeon. What also impresses my husband and I is the time she takes with each patient and their spouse from the initial visit, through the surgery, and each and every follow up visit. She thoroughly explains what's to be done, what she expects of the patient in the "at home" recovery process, and as busy as she is, she always has time for questions and explanations. She treats every patient as if they were "family" in the sense that she gives the degree of care she would give to her own. Andrew and I are very grateful for her service. Please share this with her as she's not one to expect compliments on her work. She's the best in her field, and we will recommend her to others. We are celebrating as my feet look and feel better for the first time in over 30 years! We can't thank Dr. Testerman enough!"
    – Cathleen, Loudon
  • "I have a family history of Bunion and Hammertoe ailments. Thanks to Dr. Chris Testerman, my feet are 'normal' and functioning correctly. Not only is Dr.Testerman a great surgeon, she always took time to inform me of how my healing was progressing and answered any questions I had. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone with foot or ankle problems. Thank you Dr. T!"
    – June, Vonore
