Athletic Trainers

Hillary Stanley, MS, ATC, LAT, CSCS

Hillary Stanley, MS, ATC, LAT, CSCS A high school injury and help from a physical therapist opened Hillary’s eyes to the possibility of athletic training as a career.

“I was given a home exercise program by a PT/ATC. After performing these exercises for only a few days, I noticed a drastic difference. This led me into the field of athletic training so that I may help athletes recover,” Hillary said.

She played volleyball from fifth grade through high school. After graduation from Farragut High, she earned a bachelor of exercise science and a master of sports medicine from the University of Tennessee. She has been a trainer for five years and currently works at Carter High School.

“I most enjoy watching student-athletes grow and develop both athletically and personally,” Hillary said. “Growth in talent and ability is amazing to watch over the four years I have them. It thrills me to see a senior receive an athletic scholarship knowing how he or she was as a freshman. I am honored as well to watch the athletes mature into young men and women.”

Hillary and her husband, Greg, have four children. She says finding time for hobbies and leisure time pursuits is difficult. When time permits, Hillary enjoys cooking, cake baking and walking with her children and dog.
