Tara Mahanes, ATC-L, CSCS
As
a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) provided by St. Mary’s
Health System, Tara currently is working with student athletes at Fulton
High School. She says the mix of sports and medicine led her to athletic
training.
“The interaction with students that are playing for the love of the game attracted me to this field,” she says. “It is rewarding to help athletes return to play after an injury.”
Tara earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training and Allied Health from Bridgewater College in Virginia. She is completing work on a Master’s degree in Sports Medicine at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Georgia. Tara is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association (NATA) and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
Her leisure time interests include reading and working in the yard and around the house.
