The Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic is a unique practice of specialty orthopedics. This means that our physicians have each received advanced training in a very specific part of the body or area of orthopedics and continue to accumulate years of intensive study within this specialty. By practicing exclusively within their respective specialty, our physicians are able to offer their patients a superior quality of diagnostic proficiency and, if needed an unmatched level of surgical expertise.

Many KOC physicians are nationally recognized as leaders in their specialty field. Many are also involved in educating other orthopedic surgeons in today’s newest, specialized surgical techniques.

As a KOC patient, you are in the hands of a skilled and caring orthopedic specialist who has devoted years of intensive study to YOUR injury or condition.

About KOC

The frontier of orthopedic medicine has undergone a vast expansion over the years. With technological advancements that continue to increase the depth of knowledge, the pace of discovery within the field of orthopedics has accelerated with each passing year. The Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic has traditions of keeping pace with and contributing to orthopedic progress and of bringing the best of new information and technology to the Knoxville community.

The tradition of excellence began with the founding partners, Dr. Robert G. Brashear, Dr. Thomas F. Stevens, and Dr. Harrison O. Bourkard. Since the mid-1930’s, our physicians have been entrusted with the care of injured University of Tennessee athletes, a relationship that dates back to General Neyland and remains strong today.

At the Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic, a group of surgical pioneers have blazed the trails of patient care, each in a particular area of expertise. We take pride in these achievements and will continue to provide quality of care for our patients and to the East Tennessee community.
